Traditional Eastern Acupuncture

Acupuncture, offers a range of potential health benefits. This holistic therapy involves inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow or Qi. Studies suggest that acupuncture can effectively alleviate chronic pain conditions such as back pain, migraines, osteoarthritis and other pain issues by promoting the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. Additionally, acupuncture may help reduce stress and anxiety, improving overall mental well-being. It is often used as a complementary treatment for various ailments, including insomnia, digestive issues, and respiratory disorders.

Our Resident Acupuncturist, Scott, combines acupuncture with other modalities, such as cupping, massage and Gua Sha to provide a complete therapeutic treatment based on your individual goals

In Traditional Eastern Acupuncture, it is believed that all diseases stem from an imbalance in vital energy flow or Qi (pronounced as "Chee"). Blockages in Qi can also lead to blood stagnation, which further disrupts circulation and nourishment in the body, disrupting homeostasis.

Acupuncturists  emphasize the alignment of the body's vital energy (Qi), the balance of Yin and Yang aspects, and the unobstructed flow of energy through meridians or pathways using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including acupuncture, cupping, and other modalities.  Acupuncture also releases the endorphins that block the message of pain, helping ease chronic and acute pain
