What is Acupuncuture & Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic) Acupuncture?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture (also know as Cosmetic Acupuncture) is a more holistic approach to beauty and skincare. It is a safe, minimally invasive treatment where tiny, sterile needles are inserted over the face and body along meridian lines and acupuncture points to increase blood circulation, stimulate natural collagen production, speed healing, increase cellular turnover, and improve skin and muscle tone. The face receives an increase of blood to nourish, oxygenate, and moisturize the skin from the inside out. All cosmetic acupuncture treatments have a holistic approach with additional acupuncture points along the body to address the root causes of any imbalances.
Cosmetic acupuncture is suitable for anyone who wants a more holistic approach to skincare. If facial injections or surgery have recently been administered, a patient must wait a minimum of 4 weeks before applying acupuncture in the area of the injection. Patients who are currently pregnant are also not suitable for cosmetic acupuncture, but both mentioned patient types are recommended for traditional supportive acupuncture during that period.
The initial course of treatment is between 10-12 session, 1-2 times a week for the best results. Each individual will respond to the treatment differently depending on their age and lifestyle. Results may be noticeable after 6-7 sessions, often sooner. Maintenance may be recommended once a month.
